Great mileage!! I would say its worth 18,000 if its in excellent condition. But you're not going to find anyone who will pay that. I'd like to say you'd be able to get 15-16 for it. good luck!

It is really a buyer's market out there so forget KBB, if you are really passionate about a certain car sit down and negotiate, it will take at least 4 hours and probably more but it might be worth it. Best thing would be to pit two dealers against each other. The IS300 is a great car but in terms of used pricing, it is outclassed by rival Mercs and BMWs. Which is a good thing, for the same if not better quality car you will be paying less, but for a 2002 Lexus IS300 with 53,000 miles I would say negotiate to 16,000 or less. Hit the dealer with the basics: Horrible Re-Sale value compared to rivals, horrible gas mileage and only takes premium, under performed, expensive tires, little rear leg room, and don't forget to check the alignment because that is the most common problem with the IS due to the low profile tires and hard suspension, after pot holes and curbs the alignment on the IS gets shifted. Good luck

$16,000 would be a good price that is really reasonable for an 02 IS300 its well worth it to sit down and negotiate the price down with the dealership they always highball off the bat hoping the person is stupid and goes Oh My God 20k that's a deal!
