i have a 1995 ford E-350 that needs a motor. it has a 5.8l engine with air in manifold....i got a junkyard motor that has air in head...can i just bolt this motor in place or are there things that have to be changed

the smog air lines go into exhaust manifolds on the engine in vehicle....and on the engine i recieved..they go into the back of the heads

If you are just wanting to bolt the "newer" motor in, I would say go ahead and just plug the air holes that are in the "valve heads" and use the air holes with the original engine exhaust manifolds. If I'm not mistaken the "valve head" air holes are either threaded pipe plug or can be plugged with metal "caps" similar to freeze plugs (but of course smaller in size). Verify the exhaust manifold mounting bolt holes on the "newer" engine valve heads versus the original exhaust manifold bolt holes to work before going too far. Did you check the number of teeth on the "newer" engine flex plate with the original engine flex plate also yet ?
