WHY IS MY VEHICLE STALLING OUT?

Asked by DAEPDX Apr 04, 2013 at 09:34 PM about the 1995 Ford E-Series E-250 3 Dr STD Econoline Cargo Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1995 E250 dies when I come to a stop of just slow down. This started after the fuel injectors were cleaned. The shop says they can't find the problem. Another shop told me the battery was bad, it wasn't. Electrical system is good. I feel it is a fuel issue with in the fuel injectors, but the mechanics don't seem to know what it is.

Good place to start - check the battery! I had this happen to a '99 Ford 350 & it turned out to be an almost dead battery.

A corroted ground gave me intermitent problems, after I added a new ground bonding jumper stopped for a couple of years now That the copper is corroded it came back, use braided stainless steel bonding jumpers from battery to body and to engine case. Some computers malfunction when they don have a proper ground.
