Dumping a large amount of oil in to the
cooling system

I had this issue before too. Engine oil cooler delete was my fix. The replacement EOC cost $400+ but the oil filter adapter from a manual fit it perfectly for $20 new-used. Haven't had an issue since and have not overheated since. That was 4 years ago.
