My 1996 mustang wont stay on turn the key but stays on for only 2-3 seconds.

Go rent a fuel pressure gauge an check pressure, it should be consistent. Bot 50-60lb range. Sounds like pressure dropping in fuel one. Start there.

I put a new fuel pump in the mustang and its about 50-60 psi car stays on while i move the ignition key to on and off position but once i leave it on the one position itll turn off after 2 seconds.

You mean wen you let go of key? Another thing it might be than is ignition switch. When you turn key on and off you actuate a ignition box under your dash on the steering column.

Yes aslong as i move the key to on and off position it stays on and when i leave it on the on position it shuts rite off after two seconds and no anti theft light turns on at all even when i put the key foward.
