when i cut my ac on my vehicle over heats?

Is the engine cooling fan kicking on when you turn the AC on? If it is then something in your AC system may be plugged. If not we need to figure out why your fan isn't coming on.

Had the same problem with a 97 F-350, the fan clutch was bad replaced that and its great.

the colling fans should come on automatic when you turn on your ac,all vehicles are set up this way,check your collent level,you may also need to change the thermostat,but last post dose make since with the clutch fan,but if it is bad it will still come on when as is turned on.,i do agree on replaceing the clutch fan first.
