What could be the problem if my 94 altima will not go into gear?

At first i had to put into 1st then 2nd and then drive for it to catch the gears
right. Now i cant catch any gear. The shifter will move but no resp[onswe from
trans. Also when push the gear shift button you hear a CLICKNG sound around
or in the ignition areas.

looking for any type of fuse or sensors that may be faulty any ideas

Check the linkage on the trany to make sure it is moving the way it should, fuses yes, look at any plugins at the trany , but what you describe it sound to me that it is internal. Another thing you could do is to have it scanned for codes, would need a scanner capable of reading trany codes. Sorry I don't rebuild them, just know when there bad.
