1996 Ford Bronco XLT

Asked by Tjonesey759 Dec 01, 2016 at 02:51 PM about the 1996 Ford Bronco XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My bronco starts up sometimes and other times it
doesn't but I got a new starter and solinoide for it
and it still does it. The only way to start it when it
won't turn is touching the two metal screws on the
solinodie with a metal screw driver. (Creates sparks
and probably isn't good for the truck) but does
anyone know what it could be?

The solenoid is not getting power. It could be a lot of things but I would start by check the electrical connections. Maybe your ignition switch is the problem but you may need to trace out the wiring and test for power along the way.
