why is my mustang stalling and sputtering

Asked by Joreph Jul 29, 2018 at 09:18 PM about the 1977 Ford Mustang II Mach 1 Fastback RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1977 Ford Mustang ii mach 1. Ever since I got the car it likes to stall at
stops when I hit the gas and and sputter at high speeds. I have cleaned the
carburetor and replaced all the gaskets along with the needle and seat. After
this didn't help I replaced the fuel pump and cleaned the fuel filters. Knowing
the problem is fuel deprivation is the next step cleaning/replacing the fuel line
and tank or is there something else that could cause this problem?
