what is the gas mileage of a 1977 Ford Mustang V8

just wonderin the gas mileage of a 1977 Mustang, and is $1750 a good deal for it? it needs headers, new gauges, some new leather seats and possible a new steering wheel

offer $1,500.00,for it,it is not really worth that with what you say is wrong with it plus the other unknones you may find.gas millage around 18 on trip 12 in city.

Older cars were horrible on gas, especially the V8 models. My friend's 1979 Camaro z28 gets 8mpg city... I'm not sure about his highway. But I would try for something a little newer. Since the 60's and 70's car manufacturers have slowly increased gas mileage.
