I have a metal tube similar to the fuel tube from the fuel pump in a 76 cobra 302 that I took out and now do not know where it goes...can somebody help?

This tube is very long and looks like it needs to hook up somewhere under the car and
runs int the engine compartment.

Could it be the trans vacuum line, on my older mustang, it' a metal line about a quarter inch in dia and goes from the back of the intake manifold down to the passenger side, of the trans, and is connected to the trans, by a short rubber hose?? hope this helps
