Ended up replacing both upstream sensors (before converter). There are 3 02 sensors on 1997 maxima, that made p0136 go away, srill wouldny pass emmissions in pennsylvania, even though cel light was NOT on anymore. P0325 which is knock sensor wasn't enough to trip cel, but changed knock sensor, and passed test with no problem.
