Where is the speed sensor on my 1998 Nissan Altima GLE?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My "service engine soon" light came on and I stopped at AutoZone.  I received 2
codes on my Altima.  1. Code P0325 - Knock Sensor  2. Code P500 Speed sensor
circuit fault

There are 2 different parts for the Altimas and I need to know if I need the "Standard
Speed Sensor" or the "STANDARD ABS SPEED SENSOR".

If you have an ABS light on, I would say that you want the ABS speed sensor. If no ABS light, I would go with the standard one which I believe is located on your transmission. Here is a quick tutorial link: http://www.ehow.com/how_6791986_replace-vehicle-speed-sensors- altimas.html
