Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 sentra and I
have a problem I can't
figure out. When I'm
driving car and have the
stereo on the car spits
and sputters. Like a lack
of power I've put new
battery in and it kills the
battery when it sits over
night . Can't figure it out

You apparently have a parasitic battery drain. Your stereo may be the problem. Is it factory or aftermarket? If it is aftermarket you may have it wired to a constant on power source.

It's a aftermarket stereo and amp and yes it's hooked up to constant power I will try changing it to only come on when the key is on . I had charging system checked and it's charging 14.4 volts . Thank you

There are probably two power inputs. One is switched and one is constant on for the clock and memory.
