Car keep shutting down!?!?

Asked by Shane Apr 17, 2015 at 04:54 PM about the 1999 Nissan Maxima SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On Saturday I replaced my alternator
in my 1999 Nissian Maxima. The car
wouldn't start my brother charged
my battery and then it cranked. On
Monday while driving the battery
light came on and also the brake
light. After 5 minutes the air bag light
came on the radio shut off and the
car shut down. When jumped the car
only makes it 100 feet and does
everything over again and shuts
down. My father purchased a new
battery and put it in. Today the
battery light came on followed by the
brake light then the air bag light and
shut down again. I am stuck on the
side of the road. I need to know how
to fix my car.

Go have that alternator checked,1 out of 4 aftermarket parts, are bad to start with.
