about fixing the headlights on my car

well i turn on the lights of my headlights on my car but the problem is that only one side turns on and the other stays off

Bulb or wiring problem. Most likely bulb (cheaper and easier to replace). If you open the hood, the headlight cover should just snap off or have a few screws to loosen. Then all you have to do is replace the bulb and realign the headlight (so it's straight and low so you're not blinding other drivers) and put it all back together.
