Maxima won't start

Asked by Hyp151 Feb 03, 2017 at 07:48 PM about the 2000 Nissan Maxima SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starting sounds slow but never starts, sounds
like there is lots of fluid in the cylinders, oil shows
normal but has low oil pressure sensor triggered.

Is the battery weak? Try jump starting the car. You should also have your battery and alternator tested.

We have tried jumping it and it seems to be getting power. The low oil pressure light came on the last time I got it started but when I checked it, it had enough oil in it

If there is no oil pressure the engine may not be getting enough oil. The dragging sound may be your engine self destructing.
