Is it possible to program the battery?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Camry hybrid. It is time for the battery to be replaced. I was
wondering if there was a way to program the front battery to the car computer
once replaced without having to take it to a dealership?

The 12 volt under hood battery is easily replaceable. It does not need any reprogramming. Just disconnect the cables negative first. Then remove the hold down. Replace the battery install the hold down then the cables. this time put the positive back first. You will however have to re set your clock, your radio station presets and possibly the auto down window function.

You might consider the purchase of a Battery Saver. These are available at any Auto Parts Store. Follow directions that come with the tool Before you DC any battery cables.
