Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Temp gauge was a bit high so I checked and added water to overflow.  Drove 25 miles all was well.  Then in am on way to work stopped for gas and quite a bit of water/coolant ran out of overflow I belive.  AQdded and with cap off ran at idle with air cond on and it did not register past 1/2 way on thermostate and seemed to be fine.  Ran around town a bit all seemed well a little drip thought from air cond. On way to work this am w/ air cond on steam/smoke through vents.  Turned off air and put on vent it was gone.  Pulled over did not smell or reg hot.  10 miles up road the smoke started agin through vents closest to the windshield.  overflow was empty added water ewent 5 more miles to work and let a little pressure off cap which left a puddle under overflow on ground. BUT then another puddle under car a bit further back and in mid section.  What is happening?

Is the 3.8 V6? If so your head gasket is probably blown. The 3.8 was known for that.
