Have a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE & need to know if bad throttle position sensor will cause transmission to slip/shift hard?

No, it's not related. If the transmission slips, you probably need to get it revamped. It's around 500$ if you get it out of the car yourself. If not, you need to pay the extra time for getting out of there and put it back.
