2020 Ford Titanium Hybrid AWD

Asked by GuruD4JYVD Aug 03, 2023 at 12:28 PM about the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Titanium AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On three separate occasions my Escape has been completely dead, but the
battery is fine. Once the + node of the battery is touched with the metal clamp
of a battery charger (which is not even turned on), everything lights up and the
car is good to go. The dealer has looked at it several times and it always "Looks
good to me" kind of a thing. What's up with this dead car with a good battery?

Check the battery connections, it could be just dirty, or a bad cable. Dealers are not the smartest bunch these days, if the computer says nothing is wrong that is where they stop and then charge you a crazy high diagnostic fee.

If you bought this vehicle brand new it sounds like a Lemon Law claim to me! Hope that helps! Jim
