My sensor went bad on the front motor mount and
replaced it and now won't start

My front motor mount has a sensor on it and it went bad and I had to replace the whole motor mount and now won't start.

Electronic control module/Brain,you can try resetting it by removing the positive cable from battery for a few minutes,with key not in car,then replace cable should reset it,if not you may need to have the ECM checked for code.

I had the battery the positive cable off as I was replacing the motor mount

What happen Monday morning I went to the store and came back home and was going back out.Started the car and smelled plastic burning and shut the car off and it was coming from the sensor and wouldn't start back up. Replaced it and still want start

Was key in car when you removed cable?And what lights do you have on dash when trying to crank car?

Ok that explaind alot,if you had wire melt and heat it may have damaged the ECM itself,may need to have it checked if the battery reset is doing no good.

No fire from ECM check your main fuse,s may have lucked up and blew one before it got the ecm.

Remember this, parts are not pretested before sale, there are millions of defective products on their shelf, you bought one, option is to return it for another, crap happens 40 yrs in the auto industry Automotive engineer / trained automotive sciences.

I but new battery,crankshaft sensor,and front motor mount and still won't start. What could be the problem
