Brake light and battery light blinking

Both the brake and battery lights on my moms car are blinking. What causes
both of these lights to blink at the same time, and is it safe to drive?

Probably not safe. Check the brake fluid level. The battery light is probably warning you that the alternator is not working.

Both the brake and battery lights on my car came on for a while. Then I drove it home and they both turned off all of a sudden. What causes both of these lights to come on at the same time?
