Customers are saying the Kia sould has engine problems and that the car
burns or uses too much oil.  How reliable is the Kia engine. How long does it
last without issues?

I would not buy a Korean car unless I had no other choice.

Kia recently released a computer fix that provides for an "early warning" of this engine failure and extended the engine warranty substantially. I love my Soul + and look forward to its long and happy life.
