Temp gage up and down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a new radiator and had a crankshaft
censor put in at Aamco. Still the temp
gauge influctuates. Why?

If it goes from really hot to cold and back again then it is probably the thermostat.

Its 71 degrees outside and my cars temp is 50 , its a 2004 Nissan Sentra , should it 40 or colder
