transmission stalls

my nissan quest 2005 i replaced the alternator and battery. i also did my spark
plugs and 3 of my coils. i just recently drained the transmission oil and put in 6
qts in it. i let it run for 20 mins and checked the dip stick and  it was dry. can
someone tell me why is that?

im sorry its a s not an se.. and sometimes when i put it in reverse it doesnt go,but i put it back in park and then back in reverse it works.

Drain and fill on that Quest should only be 5.5 quarts with the total capacity being roughly 9.5 quarts. How are you checking the level? It sounds like it is still low on fluid (and was probably low before you started the process).
