Android Phone on a 2019 Rav 4

Question type: General

I am looking at purchasing a 2019 Rav 4 and the research I have found said
the Rav 4's are compatible with Iphones (Apple play) but not Android.  What
does that mean?  Does the bluetooth feature in a Rav 4 work for an Android
phone?  Can you receive phone calls through the car system? Google
Maps?  This may be a deal breaker if my phone won't work through
the car system.

I would ask your Toyota dealer. I do know that the new Rav4 does not use Android Auto, the equal of Apple CarPlay. But I would assume your phone can be used for other things, like streaming music and receiving calls, just not fully integrated with all the screens.

My dealership says it is android auto for sure. Big sign in the dealership that says so

Just bought a 2019 only a few things work with my android, I am due for phone upgrade and will be going with apple so my navigation works
