i changed the struts on the front and got a frontend alignment but still hits bumps hard,what could be wrong.

Tires may be over-inflated. Check the spec. most likely is 24-28 psi for the fronts...if you're pumpin, pumpin up to 40 psi you aren't going to wear the tires correctly and will give you the "hard ride" not to mention reduced contact with the road, not allowing the shocks to absorb much for little tire to ground contact.

the tires on this car are supposed to be at 35 psi. did you check ball joints and stuff. and by hit bumps hard is it banging on bumps or rattling???
