Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 nissan altima 2.5 engine and it's
1000 rpm & then goes down suddenly to 500 rpm
this is in idling park but on the freeway or street
runs pretty good I need help with this can
somebody help me out with a few ideas of what
it's going on?? Thanks for your help I will
appreciate it

This could be a vacume leak or the idle air control valve is bad.

Where's poscisionated the idle control valve? Can you help me with that?

It is located on the throttle body,here,s a picture of it on a 2002.
