First time buyer needing advice.

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Okay, so I currently own a 1997 Dodge Stratus that I bought quickly after a bad wreck, paid $1750 for the car, and have spent more in repairs. It's trying to die again, and it's time for a new car. One of our friends has a blue 2005 350z, and I'm open to learning to drive 5 speed, I only worry about gas mileage. I drive my fiance's 2009 Ford Fusion right now and with gas prices in NC at 3.40 right now, I pay between $45 and $50/wk for gas in it. Will the 350z cost me much more?

350Z gets 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway... Fusion: (assuming its a FWD, Auto) 20 - 28 mpg you might be paying a few more bucks but I dont think it'll be that much more..
