2006 Nissan Maxima SL

My temperature hand on the dash is not
working and will not move,I change the
temperature gauge sensor and it still doesn’t
work,does anybody have any ideas

I just don’t understand it,I use a circuit tester to check the wires and the temperature gauge and the light flash to show that it had a connection,but the temperature gauge on the inside of the car will not move it just stays below the cold mark
