Break & battery light

I been having this problem for months now
whenever I accelerate the break and battery light
comes on at the same time and when I step off the
gas the lights go off please help when I took the
belt off and started the car the both lights stayed on
and when I put in back on and tighten it the lights
went away but I still get he same problem when I
drive
