Horn beeping and lights flashing

Asked by Emma Sep 05, 2018 at 07:58 PM about the 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every few minutes my horn and flashers go off like
I’m locking my car. Every other time this happens
it’s just the flashers. This is happening while my car
is being driven and while it is parked and off

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? My daughter's car just started doing the same thing with the lights.

My 2015 Altima just did this while I was in the garage. I thought I sat on my key fob but when I went to check it was not in my pocket. It was still hanging up. It did it like three times. I went outside to see if anyone was out front with a fob or some sort of master fob idk maybe trying to see if cars would beep to steal or break into, but no one was nearby at all. Very strange. No idea why it when off like that.

I don’t have an answer but to say I have the same thing happening to our 2011 Nissan Quest minivan. When we start the van and when it’s in park it randomly honks 3 times and randomly flashes the flashers. We took it to Valvolene to get an oil change and they do a tire pressure check and said one of the tires sensors is bad because it had 80 lbs of pressure instead of 35! They said we could take it to a tire place to have them replace the sensor. We are hoping to do that soon after husbands new job starts. But after they fixed the tire pressure it stopped honking but still flashed lights. Did anyone find out what the random honking and flashing mean?
