What does 4 key program mean

This happened to me once, apparently the rig got close too another vehicle that had coding that was close to the same code in a parking lot so it picked up on that frequency even though it really didn’t apply. The dealership had to straighten it out, they said it should not have happened but it did. Has never happened after that one time. Good luck.
This is one reason why new car dealers use physical keys kept in key boxes hung on drivers door windows when the cars are on their lots. Having so many of the same cars with pick-up frequencies & codes so close leads to fob recognition problems. Imagine, you're on a new car lot with a hundred Chevrolets and you hit open on a fob and five cars answer. It wasn't supposed to be this way as there are only a couple cars in each region that have the same fob code which was supposed to prevent this problem. Well, think again.
