1992 3000gt vr4 twin turbo engine problems

Asked by Nick3000gt May 23, 2017 at 10:27 PM about the 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I don't daily this car, only to school and
back most weeks. This morning it was
perfectly fine most of the way there, until I
started to slow down and the power I
could tell was less than half. After school I
started it and just let it idle, and again it
was fine until I got in the road and it barely
let me accelerate. Any ideas on what it
could be? It was low on oil a week ago
until I put oil in it, could I of put to much?

Just check your oil level, do not fill it over the fill line on the dip stick. Another cause could be the catalytic converter may be plugged up. Have it checked at an exhaust shop.

Agree with above. Also check for vac and boost leaks.
