What would cause my ford explorer front driver side tire feel like its going to lock up if I go over 55 mph, what could it be?

Feeling like it is going to lock up indicates, to me, it is pulling to the left. Everything tennisshoes said plus tire pressure, broken belt in tire, work suspension parts, alignment....................... Begin checking the easiest first.
