2019 Jeep Compass Altitude

We just bought a 2019 jeep compass altitude last
week 589 miles on it, When the car was running in
our driveway it seemed loud to me, my wife said it
idles at about 1500rpm,   i’ve never had a car that
idle that high.  I didn’t know if it was normal for
jeeps or if this is something to be concerned about

A 1,500 rpm idle is not normal. Have the dealer look at it under warranty.
