antenna replacement

I just replaced the antenna on my 3000gt, but when the antenna goes up, it
doesn't stop. What is supposed to stop it?

Resistance on the motor stops it in the up and down positions. The antenna uses a belt to move the antenna and that's likely worn out or broken. All this usually comes prepackaged, but if you assembled it, maybe it was done wrong.
