Can't get passenger side axle back in on my 94 3000gt sl automatic fwd tranny failed so I replaced it with same that came out but axle won't seat

Is there a "C" clip on the end of the axle going into the trany? If so you need to be rotating the axle shaft while pushing it in. On mine I had to use a rubber mallet also on the other end by pushing in on the shaft to take the play out of the CV joint, and tap it in until it snapped in place.
