NO way too high for a money pit with reliability issues. Do some research on any vehicle you might like first.

I've owned two classic Rolls Royce's and two new Bentleys (company cars). All British cars are crap, except the Jags that were built under Ford ownership. And Rovers are the worst. If you need a 4wd system in that type of car, I'd suggest a Toyota Land Cruiser, or a Lexus in any 4wd platform..... If you're intent on that LR, $38 grand should be your target, and have a mechanic go over the car prior to purchase. Then have the current owner fix everything on the mechanic's list before you even consider such an unwise choice.
