please help.. sooo cold.

200 chevy silverado 6.0 liter vortec... 2500. I went to change oil...drained oil pan,
repleced oil filter, pulled out a little over 4 quarts. I put the plug back in pan and filled with
a 5 quart jug of motor oil. my dipstick show way over full, also i not have any oil coming
out of pan or by the filter. any suggestions, I turned over for les than a sec to try and
release the jamb up???? very weird
