1995 Mitsubishi VR4 has no power!

Asked by Justin Jun 15, 2015 at 08:31 PM about the 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got a 95 Mitsubishi VR4 that lost
power.  It has about 112000 miles. It
used to stutter a little bit when I had
about 4000 to 5000 rpms.  Parked it
for awhile l, drove it and was about
3000 rpms and shifted into 3rd and
that's when it started. After about
2200 rpms the boost Gauge is
maxed out at 14. Just wondering if
anyone could know a what the
problem could be.

Interference engine. First check your timing belt. Make sure all cam sprockets and crank sprocket are lined up correctly. If they not or your belt has broke then do a compression check on all cylinders to rule out any bent valves.
