If you are trying to reset the computer I would recommend going to the Mitsubishi Dealership.
I doubt that is the source of your problem. I would start with a tuneup and a fuel system cleaner.
When these cars start missing even just a little TURN THEM OFF ASAP. First thing to check is your timing belt. If it jumps time you can bend valves if it jumps to much.
