I'm wondering what should be in this threaded hole

Asked by Chase5369 Mar 04, 2017 at 12:21 PM about the 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1996 Eagle Talon ESI has the code coming up
p1294.  It's pretty quick and has a lot of stuff done
to it and this is the only problem I can't figure out
why it's idling a little weird when I come to a stop.

P1294 MITSUBISHI - Idle Air Control Motor Circuit...Possible causes; Faulty Intake Air Control (IAC) Valve, Intake Air Control (IAC) Valve harness is open or shorted, Intake Air Control (IAC) Valve circuit poor electrical connection... Possible symptoms, Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light).

What is the cel? Learning more about the car everyday and it is actually a eagle talon but I just put Mitsubishi because I couldn't pick Eagle under the listed cars

nevermind I just figured out with this Cel means LOL and yes it is on. The code its reading is p 1294 and that's dating idle speed mis adjusted, vacuum leak or the throttle body not free
