Ok I need some help! I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclispe Gs that won't start. It has been repaired recently when it was sputtering. Like no horse power.

He put in temp sensor and block seal. It was running good but the start up became weak. I would have to start it three times before it would start up! Then it would be shaking and sputtering while it warms up before I could drive. But it drove. I had to put about a half gallon of water in radiator every day. Yesterday I put water in and drove maybe 5miles. While driving in the rain it shut down on me. When I pulled over and went to pop the hood it was already popped! I guess I didn't close it all the way. Would this have anything to do with it not starting?
