Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Do you really have to pull the dash out of a 1994
mazda B3000 truck to replace the heating coil?

No, 1994 has the heater core accessible without removal of the dash. You can remove the glovebox for ease of access, though not necessary. 1995+ requires dash removal. There is a plastic cover over the base of the heater core below the glovebox (4 screws), the coolant hoses are the only thing holding the heater core once the cover is removed. Very easy job, took only 15 mins when I replaced mine (not including coolant air bleed after replacement)
