Will my 1994 Mazda B2300 pick-up 4cylinder, run on E 15 without problems?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have only ~166K + on this vehicle, and now there is talk of going from E10 to E15 gasahol. Will this vehicle have problems with this new blend?

The engine should be safe up to E20 without any problems at all. If you do however notice a knocking sound from the engine after using the E15 you may need to move up to a mid-grade fuel.

The engine may, or may not be up to the task, but I doubt the plastic and rubber in the fuel system parts are. They don't like alcohol and will break down... sooner or later.
