1990 B2200 Mazda PU sudden cut out

Asked by XGuruXjbz Nov 11, 2018 at 11:14 AM about the 1990 Mazda B-Series B2200 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1990 B2200 Mazda PU with AT
and FI, has a leaking Water pump seal,
also needs a new radiator. Before I
could order new ones, I drove it (with a
full radiator),  less than 1/8 mile to
clubhouse,  it cut out suddenly.   Like it
ran out of fuel.   Still has full radiator,
turns over fine,  fuel filter seems clear
and there is fuel.   What next?   Don't
have a code reader,  nor do the
mechanics for this old of a vehicle.

Old, but did you ever figure this out? Is the pickup carborated? Sounds like what happens when the float bowl gets stuck in carbed vehicles.
