Transmission linkage

How can I customize an R470W trans shifter
linkage cable bracket or relocate it. The two little
bolt holes that it mounts to rotted away or broke
off the side of housing..without dropping the
transmission or the pan.. This is my last option I’ve
been on u tube an watched every trans rebuild an
linkage change on other vehicles. My year they
don’t sell anything except brackets that mount in
the same spot. I hope I’m over thinking this repair,
I’m hoping somebody can help me out... An the
transmission an the original bracket r fine
