I have been unlucky with my Mitsubishi Galant V6 1998 car. It has worked excellent up till for a couple of months ago when a workshop changed clutch, spark plugs and oil in the gearing box. After that the car cannot exceed 1800 rpm even when no gear is connected. The TCL-error code 12 is shown and the Mitsubishi workshop in Luleå Sweden has changed all the sensors and the steering box but cannot find the problem. They have now given up. I am rather certain that the error code must have a connection with the clutch and spark plugs change. Do you think that such a change can course this problem? When you change the clutch what kind of sensors do you disturb or disconnected? As I have heard it is only the connection to the speedometer you have to disconnect! PLEASE HELP ME with an indication that the change of clutch can course the problem above. Kind regards from Luleå in northern Sweden! Nils-Göran Jonsson.

Ok not real sure about what motor is in yours but in the nineties Mitsubishi liked to use a 3 liter double over head cam motor in their front wheel drive cars. And inorder to to change the plugs in one of them you would have to remove the upper intake. There are several wiring harnesses that would have to be disconnected to do this and any one of them could possibly cause your problem. They are the map sensor, throttle position sensor, fuel injector harnesses, crank case position sensor just to name a few. If you have that motor I would check these connections. I would start with throttle position sensor first. Hope this helps

He is answering your other question. If you post on that one he will get notified that you have posted again. He is real good and is along the same lines as my first post. I feel you have either a pinched wire or loose connection.
